gettin' around
What a week!

This week was a weird one, mostly marred by either allergies or a sinus infection or both. Still, it was a good week, regardless of my physical well-being (my best to Wilhelm & Mo-reen, who are saddled with the pneumonia).
Work was hectic, made even worse by missing all of Tuesday with a raging headache and coughing fit, but I got quite a bit done (though my list never seems to get smaller).
Mike and I made our way out to American Airlines Center on Wednesday night to catch the Foo Fighters/Jimmy Eat World/Against Me! tour. AM! was out of place and seemed disinterested in doing anything other than going through the motions. JEW was as good as I've ever seen them and played a nice mix of new and old. The Foo Fighters, though...wow. Not my favorite band in the world, not by a long shot; but I found myself humming along to more songs than I thought I knew. Dave Grohl is a showman like no other, taking pride in working the crowd and being an engaging personality...he *made* the audience feel like they were part of the show.
Sarah and I have made great progress in getting things planned and decided for the wedding, and are getting a head of steam behind us to get as much done as soon as possible to reduce stress in the months leading up to the big day. Next up, suits, cakes and photographers.
Brent & Angela stopped by tonight to drop off my fog lights (my Christmas present), only to find out that they were for a 2006 Yaris 4dr and not a 2007 Yaris Liftback (which I own). This is the second time he's tried to get these, and he's very displeased with having to try a third time. On the plus side, I beat him twice at FIFA08 (I was the heroic Arsenal, he the vilified ManU)...so that's something.
Sarah and I also found a neat little pizza parlor nearby that we both seemed to enjoy quite a lot, and the guy who runs it is an ardent football fan (turns out he had played for the Dallas Sidekicks for 8 years before settling into the pizza business). I may have just found my new favorite place to eat 'za.
